Josh Timms Builders was founded in 2015 out of a desire to raise the bar in custom homebuilding. With nearly three decades of construction experience, Josh began as an apprentice in his father’s drywall business, learning the importance of craftsmanship from an early age.
Over the years, he expanded into framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, spending 15 years in the field as a tradesman before stepping into leadership roles. After managing residential projects across the Upstate, Josh launched his own company with a vision: build homes with better materials, higher standards, and a level of care that truly lasts. Today, that same commitment drives every project we take on.
With dual master’s degrees from Converse College and two decades of experience in education, she blends heart, structure, and professionalism into every part of the business. A licensed realtor and longtime advocate for their clients, April brings warmth and insight to each project they take on.
Lukas is an Associate Craftsman with a passion for quality work and a love for the building process. A graduate of USC Upstate, he approaches each project with enthusiasm and precision. His dedication and attention to detail help ensure that no corner is cut — and every build exceeds expectations.
Ty brings nearly a decade of experience and a deep understanding of hands-on homebuilding. A graduate of Abbeville High, he’s been with Josh Timms Builders since the early days, specializing in both carpentry and mechanical systems. Ty’s skill and steady presence on-site play a big role in bringing each home to life.
Russell leads all things HVAC, bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience and a Navy veteran’s discipline to the job. As a ventilation expert, he’s known for installing high-performing systems that improve comfort and efficiency. His commitment to doing things the right way makes him a trusted and valuable part of the team.
